I find that restarting your computer after update negates the error code 53 (because the error only presents itself after an update).

You could try disabling the real-time-scan of your anti-virus. This helped me at least.

This drove me nuts for days, I tried the real-time-scan disabling on the ant-virus, and that fixed it.
