The "View players" button in Steam overlay not working?

Everytime I try to add a friend in a server of TF2 or any other game, I click the "View Players" button in the Steam Overlay.

However, it usually doesn't show any players at all or shows 2 or 3 players at a time.

This has made adding friends quite a bit of a chore.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I have the same problem, you can bypass this problem doing this: Go to your Profile, click on Friends, click on the tab named "Recently played with" (or Players if you are still ingame and want to add someone from the current server)

.. I wish Valve would fix this soon D: .. it is a really old problem :C

Long process, but it works.

Life would be so much easier if the View Player button worked. :(
