Purchasing from military AP/AE addresses (Fix)

Ok, I tried to purchase games while being stationed in an APO address. Steam tells users to use CA for AP and New York for AE but this didn't work for me as well as others. Below is the link that Steam told me to use for all military addresses purchases.

Bookmark it while you are away from the states. The issue they say is that the IP address differs from your billing information, which means that my IP is not a US. Hope this helps others.

The application is my usual method for browsing the store, doesn't matter. It still registers as a Korean server. If you can purchase off the website, you can run it through a browser like Torch to mask being in Korea. Not to condone the illicit reasons people might use it, but I have been able to access sites like Netflix, Hulu and such since using Torch.

Saudi Arabia, same problem. I put a ticket in with no response for 5 days. I log in using the cc=us link mentioned above, go to paypal or to my debit card, and neither one will work. I had made attempts straight from the Saudi Arabia link I was originally directed to when I first opened the account, so that may have scotched it. It just says to contact steam support, which apparently takes quite a while. I am subscribing to the topic in case anyone gets a way to fix this.

Thanks for the attempted assist, VyRuZ, but it's still a "NO GO" at this station. ;D

My best guess is that affirming that I was in Saudi Arabia when I first made the account screwed the pooch.

I'm glad it was an efficient fix, although 6 days for a response is a mite long, I would think. We'll see how things go in the future.
