Do I have to use Steam Wallet on all purchases? (trading card purchases)
I'm looking to pick up some trading cards and I'm not exactly sure how it goes down. Would I be charging my credit card $0.30, $0.40 cents per transaction? Or can I put money in the steam wallet and use that for these microtransactions exclusively? Just looking for what's the best way to do all this. thanks.

i don't mind putting it in there to use for the trading cards.

lets say i put $10 in and right after i want to purchase a flash sale game. can i select to pay with just my card and leave the $10 in my wallet for these card purchases?

Yes you can.
Bear in mind that in any moment you have funds on your wallet, when making a store purchase (like a game) your wallet funds are always pre-selected as your payment method.
Just change the payment method to another one (Visa/paypal/whatever) adn purchase your game fully, without touching your wallet funds.

I did my last game purchases that way.
