Using a dif pc to download the game

Ok ive read you can download the game on a dif pc and play it from ur account but heres my question, I have limited internet as i live in the middle of no where so i use a wireless broadband connection, so what i want to know is if i bring my portable hard drive and download the game from another pc with non limited internet and have my whole steam account backed up onto the drive and i bring it home and i connect it to my pc and move the files on it to my steam folders on it should be playable right? its not gonna have some encrytyped stuff on it where when i log onto my steam account its gonna frack up or anything? limited internet sucks so bad but i may be over thinking it but i would think this is plausible as i do it with most new games i wanna get that are non steam or have massive updates.

Yes you can transfer your game from one pc to another just copy the files to the exact place where you install steam on your other pc. If you have any questions feel free to ask

Simple copy should work, but if you want to be sure, you can use steam backup/restore feature: Using the Steam Backup Feature
