Will steam downloads still go on when my computer is locked?
The question is the title, there. I just want to know if it does or doesn't because my sister keeps using my computer and logs it off and i want to lock my computer so she doesnt interrupt my borderlands 2 download. Can anyone help me out here? thanks :smile:

Yes.

As long as the computer is still turned on and running the downloads will contnue. They won't continue in hibernate as the drives are stopped, but a simple 'Lock Computer' will.

No... I have found today that my download of a game went into 'queued' status when my Windows desktop was locked after a default timeout (my leaving for lunch). Once I unlocked the desktop, it began again. This is a ridiculous problem and there seems to be lots of people with anecdotes that suggest this isn't true but, from my perspective, it is.
