Can't open the "configure" window of "Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed"
Hi!
I had the game "Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed" installed and working.
I decided to delete it, and delete Steam, and re-install both.

So I deleted the game by clicking on the "delete local content..." option,
after that I deleted the Steam program from windows removing programs.
both uninstallations went well!
(it removed the entire "steam" folder from my "program files" folder)

I re-downloaded the latest version of Steam from the site, and installed it.
And I re-downloaded the game.
Now when I click on "configure" it's showing a loading cursor, for like 2 seconds and nothing happens.
I once again un-installed and re-installed both the steam software and the game and still no luck, the "configure" window of the game just doesn't getting open.
It feels to me like it's loading the window and then automatically closing it right away or something.

What should I do please?
Is there a way to totally clear the old configuration both from steam-cloud and my computer that may cause it to stuck?
I can't play the game without re-configure it as currently the resolution and quality are not right.

BTW: after installing Steam software it was asking me to confirm my computer as it thinks that it's an other computer, so maybe that's the problem?
I for now disabled this feature name "Steam Guard".

Maybe it is the new version of Steam that have an issue?
is there a way to download an older version of Steam just to give it a try?

Problem solved! Steam fault! :P
The Launcher.exe is incompatible program for windows 8, it is for win XP SP3!
This I found using the windows "Troubleshoot compatibility" feature.

Steps to solve it -
1.
Open folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
and right click the Launcher.exe file, and choose "Troubleshoot compatibility".
- View screenshot![dl.dropboxusercontent.com]

2.
In the "Troubleshoot compatibility" window, choose the "Try recommended settings".
- View screenshot![dl.dropboxusercontent.com]

3.
You will now see that it is telling you that it's gonna set it as Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode.
Click on "Test the program..."
after seeing it works click on "Next"
- View screenshot![dl.dropboxusercontent.com]

4.
Save it like that by clicking on "Yes, save these settings for this program"
- View screenshot![dl.dropboxusercontent.com]

5.
Click on "Close the troubleshooter"
- View screenshot![dl.dropboxusercontent.com]

6.
Go and try it out!
works for me :)

I had the "free weekend" version before, in that version it was working fine, which means it was a better version, so Steam please take a look at it and fix it.
I spent a lot of time re-downloading the 7GB game 4 times, deleting files, deleting registry, just everything.
Don't let others to have this issue too, please fix it.
