I have just bought a Left 4 Dead 2 - 4 player pack and I can't send a copy to a friend of mine, probably because of the free weekend for L4D2.
How can he remove the trial copy from his library?
Anyway can I email him the gift even if he has already got an account?
i'd have to wait 1 month from now lol
Steam will say you own the game until the Free Weekend is over because during the Free Weekend you do have the use of the game license.
Im agreeing, but it doesn't make much sence. If it doesn't let you gift a game to someone and says they own it, surely it should also say it if the person tries to buy it from the store themselves? If this is the case does EVERYONE have to 'add to inventory' rather than 'add to library' on free weekend sale items? I know what people are like, i'd expect to see a few "im trying to buy this, but it says i own it" posts at least.
