Match stat did not get recorded in Dota 2

Its been happening for a while now,after crashing from dota,i cannot reconnect back,says the session is not available anymore...moreover,win or loss stat also doesn't get recorded after i crash...there is no option to reconnect...help please

By "crashing from Dota", do you mean you simply lose connection to the server, but the Dota game stays open?

Yes ! It never gets recorded as abandoned,nor does it records win/loss stat...when i reopen dota,the first message is' could not locate game session' and then there is no reconnect button...just the usual find match

That happens when the server hosting the game has crashed for whatever reason, knocking yourself and all others in your match from the server.

Because that game server has crashed it is unable to send match data to the "master" servers. The game is eseentially wiped from history. It sucks when that happens, but don't worry... There's zero punishment from it.

well thanks for the info mate...but it surely sucks,happens whenever iam on the verge of winning...hope valve fixes it soon

It happened to me as well. Got disconnected mid-game and after finishing the game it said "could not locate game session". I hope Valve fixes this. I just want my stats recorded.

Edit: I got placed in low-queue as well for the next hours and no battle points can be earnt.

This has happened to me multiple times and most often the moment the enemy's ancient is destroyed the game freezes and we are all disconnected like you described....so none of us receive the win statistic or anything.....this REALLY needs a fix

Volvo fix please. I also got "could not locate game session" and no stats recorded.
