sync issue

For a couple days now, I have been having issues with Steam not syncing my games properly. Normally it does it after I finish playing a game, it lists a percent completed while syncing, and only takes a couple minutes at most. For some reason, it has started "syncing" whenever I click play, except it doesn't actually do anything. It says it is syncing, but it doesn't say how far along it is in the process, and it will sit there and "sync" for hours if I let it. If I try to play another game, it does the same thing with the second game as well. If I go offline I can play my games, but it does the same thing again if I go back online.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

No and it appears that the steam cloud is causing a few problems with games not syncing and having the artwork, screenshot uploader failing and producing an error with the code -108 unknown error.

5th day for me without sync. I actually want to know what happens with games that have this syncing problem? I mean some say that you want be able to get achievements anymore and others also say that your save files will get deleted after it synced again or something like that

My local saves have gone, because at one point i uninstalled and reinstalled steam to see if that fixes the problem, so im hoping our cloud saves are still there.

The new beta from Steam version dated July 1. Seems to have fixed the upload issue. I just tested it for the artwork tab and the screenshots and it went in with no errors. This should also work for the games being synced as well.

You have to opt-in to beta and update your steam -> http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta#announcements/detail/2021270969868123004 That is the update that fixed the problem.

To opt-in, go to steam -> settings, then beta participation and opt-in and it should be up-to-date to the new steam client. If not, go to steam -> Steam client updates and click it to make sure you have the latest version installed.
