Will my PC be able to run Arma II (DayZ) in HD with these specs?

G'day good steam users, im kinda in a pickle here, wondering if I should pick up the discounted copy of Arma 2 Complete Collection since people are obsessing that the game is far better in HD.

Pentium Dual-Core E5200 @ 2.50GHz
3 Gigs of DDR2 ram
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT/GTO

Im really curious about the hype train surrounding this mod, but the fear that my computer will explode by the mere typing of the word High-Def is what kept me from spending 30 euro on it. Any help is greatly appreciated! :D

If you keep it to 720P, most definitely. It may struggle a bit at 1080P, so you'll probably have to settle for medium graphics if you do.

i would try it on a lower setting first and if it seems to do well then switch it higher but im not sure if youll be able to completly max out the settings with those specs

Yes, your PC will be able to run the game, but you wont be getting an acceptable performance. 720P means progressive which makes no sense in this conversation.

And don't forget one thing - Arma 2 is badly optimized. And never will be.
