Installing Mafia 2

Bought Mafia 2 from a retail store. I installed it on my laptop and now i want o install it to my PC. I have problems with the cd key because the one from de game case isn't working any more. Please help.

What kind of error do you get? Was your key already activated before? If so you need to contact the seller of your game.

THe cd-key for Mafia2 won't work on steam.

You'll have to install it from your original media and use the cdkey provided. If that doesn't work you'll need to go to 2K for support.

It says: "the product code you've entered has already been activated by an existing Steam account and is therefore invalid". My brother installed the game using his Steam account.

There you go! It can only be installed on one account. (You didn't make that clear in the OP.)

Oh I think I was thinking of the original not the sequel, my bad.

You cannot activate a game twice. One game is valid only for one account. Your brother activated your copy so you need to buy another copy to activate it for yourself.
