EDIT:
you can see your download history.. but only before you close Steam. to do this. go to Library and then click on the arrow on top that says All Games for example. And then select Downloads from the list.
Thanks anyway about the product updates thing... ^^
1) Go to any one of your games, right-click it and go to properties.
2) Go to the local files tab at the top, click browse local files.
3) It opens a folder titled with the name of the game, click common in the address bar @ top.
4) Now you should see your full list of steam games (local files).
5) Click on the 'Date Modified' filter. This will show you which games were updated most recently. Keep in mind that any updates currently downloading will not appear until they finish.
I hope this helps others. It really isn't a big deal, just one of those annoying little things that happens. Still, for the amount of money that Steam gets from most of us, we deserve the best experience possible. Thankfully, Steam is an excellent company that works on fixes regularly, so hopefully soon they may add a 'Game Update History' tab or something. I just want to see that download list, but rather than for the day, for my whole history! Perhaps, that is too much to ask for, though. I can only hope that this fix helps others in the meantime.
Thank you! That's an easy solution in hindsight.
TLDR; browse to your Steamapps/Common folder and sort by date modified. The date modified will be the last update date.
