Steam says I need to purchase games I already bought!
Hello,

This issue started yesterday. I was logged into Steam last night and when I looked at the screen it showed that all my installed games needed to be purchased. I have been playing all of them for quite some time, the newest (The Political Machine) was purchased less than a week ago. However, I have been able to play all of them multiple times before. Yet the next morning when I woke up I was strangely able to play Payday: The Heist. Now, however, it has reverted back to saying it and all other games I own are unpurchased. Thus, now I cannot access any of my games as Steam thinks that I still need to purchase them.

In addition, the viewer does not show any of my un-installed games; that is, I cannot see any games that I have previously played (and paid for) but have been uninstalled in the interest of space.

I have tried turning off the computer, signing off and signing back into Steam, and updating my Steam client. I have also tried the ClientRegistry.blob fix.

Finally, the loading of Steam is entirely very very slow right now and I think it may be connected to this problem.

Please help me!

Are you sure ou're not on your 'alt'. This account has access to those games. I suspect ou're logging into the wrong account on steam

I don't have an "alt" if by alt you mean alternate account. I only have one account with one username and one e-mail address. I have recently had to change passwords but that is it.

I've encountered the same problem with Rainbow Six Siege and so far nothing has worked.

You're on the wrong account.

I swear I am not. To be certain I checked my one alt account and the game wasn't there either. And I know for a fact I purchased the game with this account and not an alt account

Forgive me for being suspicious, but I have seen dozens of posts like this, and every single time it's the wrong account. Check the account name in the email about your purchase and compare it to the name shown near the Big Picture button in the top-right.

The only other reason a game would show as purchase would be if the game was removed by Support or through the self-help page.

I double-checked and you were right.

Well. I am having the same exact issue with Rainbow Six, and unlike this post:

I am 100% positive I am on my account on which I purchased the game.

Somehow i have the feeling this is the actual account owning the games you're talking about.
