Steam Cloud won't sync for all cloud games.

Whenever I start a Steam Cloud game, I get the notification saying that it cannot sync with the cloud. This isn't too much of a problem, but it's giving me issues such as not being able to access in-game DotA guides. I'm not sure if they're related, but everything was working fine before until this issue, so I can only assume.

Is there a way to repair this?

Got it fixed by opting in the steam beta, which updated my client.

Go to steam -> settings -> apply for steam beta, restart steam, and see if that fixes it for you. Worked for me. At least, it's working at the minute.

Wow... this actually worked. I was having this issue after trying to set up my own server for Ark : Survival Evolved, but even though the server showed up on the list, my actual game would not sync to the steam cloud so I couldn't see any other servers nor connect to my own. Now that I tried your solution, it's fixed. I can see other servers and connect to my own now.

Honestly, I'm surprised this worked and also surprised that this is what it took. Just feels like Steam would have at least posted this as a resolution to the issue or fixed it in some way. A lot of people have this problem from what I've found. Usually with almost no reasoning for it happening.

confirming that participating to the Steam Beta has fixed it for me as well.
Before doing it I had Factorio saves on the cloud that wouldn't sync. Dota 2 seemed to have been syncd though. I activated the Steam Beta first on my Mac where I started playing and then right after doing the same on the Windows machine Factorio launched succesfully!
