Text cursor invisible

Since a recent update my text cursor is invisible when typing in any editable box, like this forum post for example. Steam chat is fine, just forums,and search boxes etc. I hope I'm making myself clear with this one.

I'm having the same issue. Chatting with friends is fine but the discussion forums and using the web browser through the Steam overlay and I have no cursor.

Edit - Not the mouse cursor, the blinking text cursor.

you have to own atleast one game at steam which isn't free to play(i think dota2 works)

that means you should become a premium steam member by owning at least one game on steam(not free to play)
