Missing Library Tab

Hi All,

I really appreciate any help or direction.

Never had any major problems with Steam until now. My C drive got reformatted no thanks to hackers so I had to re install Steam program. Problem is now when I log on I can no longer see the Library tab to click on so I can't reinstall my old games. To make matters worse I went and purchase another yesterday and having paid for it can't get to download it either as I can find the usual menu tab I use to have when I log on before where "Library" is near the "Store" tab at the top of the screen.

Btw apart from playing games I'm completely computer illterate. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Thing is I remember steamapps was in my documents. Now I can find it anywhere. Sorry not to good at this things where should I look for steamapps and steam.exe. and when you said delete everything, you mean in my Steam folders under Program files? Much appreciated.

This may be a silly question... but you are logging into the steam CLIENT and not just looking at the steam WEBPAGE? The webpage won't show your library, only the client does.

If you are using the client then its usually at C:\program files\steam\

No its not a silly question, every little bit helps from me going crazy. I did log into steam webpage. Ok so its the client. Went into the steam file as you mentioned.Only 2 icons there, one Steam application and the other icon steamtmp. Can't find my steam client to click on or can I go somewhere to download that. Thanks.

Aight. By default the client/program/call it what you want... installs to C:\Program Files\Steam (or program files(x86)\). If all you have in there are two files then your installation is a bit broken!

If you have a steam.exe file in there, you should be able to click on it and it will check your installation and install what is needed. If it doesn't, then you may as well go to http://store.steampowered.com/about/ and download the client from there and install it.

Afterwards just log in with your user/pass and you should be able to go to your library.

Hi Karr,

Whoopeee. Finally got back to familiar surroundings. You were right. The first install didn't install everything. In fact I'm still getting some errors with something called bootleg or something but I can get into my client finally. Had to install steam a few times to get it started on repairing. Many thanks and if you ever find yourself in Malaysia drinks are on me.

I am having the issue where my store/library tab will not come up but it happened after a steam update. I know this thread is old but maybe someone can assist me. I can only use big picture mode to see the main client, my friends tab is there but everything else is missing

You could make your own thread and provide a screenshot of how things are on your end.

Well I figured it out. For some reason (this was never an issue before) my pc thought I had two monitors plugged in and was putting the window in... well.. The void, and it started doing it with google chrome and i had seen somthing back from win7 was still a thing and had decided to look at my display options and long behold it was launching those windows onto a non exsitent screen.

The SDK is for paid owners of CS:GO.

Availability

The CS:GO Authoring Tools is available on Steam to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive owners with Prime Status running Windows. the Prime Status has to be bought through CSGO or Steam, or by having bought CSGO before it became free to play.
