HL2E2 Precursor Mod (gameinfo.txt) issue

I recently installed the Precursor MOD for HL2E2 and cannot get it to load. First off. It shows up in my library as "HALF-LIFE2" for some reason. Then when i click "play" I get an error message "gameinfo.txt is not a valid format".

I have tried downloading and installing several different versions from several different mirrors.\
I have checked the cashe on all of my HL games.
I have installed Source SDK and base 2006 and 2007.

Anyone have any ideas?

Here is a basic layout of the Gameinfo.txt to a game of your choice. Make sure to add everything correctly. This is a fix that I used time to time on my computers. There has to be a bug or something on this Steam tool because it has never worked "First Time" on all 7 computers in my home.
