Minecraft is not on Steam... or so says the title screen!
I added Minecraft as a non-steam game in my library, launched it, and in that yellow text it read: Not on steam! (P.S. Sorry this is on the TF2 disscussions, I didn't find anything called "Steam disscussions.)

I just launched it as a non-steam game and it worked fine.

There's a lot of things I'm kinda surprised aren't on Steam. Two main ones being League of Legends (think because of DOTA 2 and LoL having a rivalry) and of course Minecraft. I'd toss in World of Warcraft but I dunno if Blizzard's fancy account system will really work with that.
im having the same problem
First off, wrong place to post this.

Second, Minecraft has a lot of easter eggs like this. If the file containing the randomized text is missing or cannot be read, the game will display "MissingNo" on the title screen instead of a randomly selected string.

"Not on Steam!" is one of the random strings that will appear from time to time.

Nonononono, guys! It was a funny thing that I noticed when I started it up! It was one of those splash text thingys on the title screen! No problems!
