Severe mouse lag

All my steam games have played fine for month's. Played some Blackops2 yesterday all was fine. Fired it up today and bam! Mouse is jittery as hell. Then I tried other steam games and what a suprise! They're all laggy as hell. I fired up BF3 and it works perfect. Anything related to Steam seams to have this issue now. I didn't notice any steam updates.

Scenerio: If I don't touch the mouse and just run around (W,S,A,D) it's all fine. Touch mouse basically it locks up for a 1/2 second before it moves. (I've tried a few aother mouses also...still the same)

So anyone have this issue before? Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated before I just format this rig. (been a while anyways).

Virus Scan ran. Clean.

Found out something though, When I run any games 1920 x 1080 on a fresh driver install it is fine.
As soon as I bump the rez up to 5760 x 1080 the mouse starts to lag severly. Then I take it back down to 1920 x 1080 and it still lags.
I have to do a clean install of the driver to get it working in 1920 x 1080.

Never had this issue before. BF3 still runs perfect at 5760 x 1080.

it is a framerate issue, try setting all your advanced graphics settings to bare minimum and cap framerate to 30 FPS if that doesnt fix the problem, i don't know any other fixes, but hope it helps, also it shouldnt be much of an issue at higher resolutions, i have had the exact same problem and capping the framerate fixed it straight up, then adjust the graphics settings back up to high or whatever and if its capped to 30 or 40 there should be no mouse input lag, just a suggestion

Thanks for the response. Although I just uninstalled steam and reinstalled it.
This fixed the problem.
I did try many other alternatives but just couldn't understand how it worked for so long and then out of the blue this issue arrised.

I'm having this same problem now. At first it was happening to only my source games, but then it Started happening to all my other games. How ever when I play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. which is not a steam related game, it runs perfectly. I uninstalled and re-installed steam, did a system restore, used all sorts of patches and nothing would work. I am just about to give up.

Uninstall steam fully

Delete it out of your program files

Search in your registry delete all steam from there.

Restart

Reinstall steam....thats what i did.

Backup the game folders you want to keep.

I unistalled Steam and Re-Installed it but it is not working. I am still receiving the mouse lag. I even did the system restore and it does not work.

I have the same problem but it's happening for all of my games except for games on Origin.. I am getting more of a stutter/lag even without playing multiplayer games. I have a GTX 660 TI, so I should be able to run everything smoothly. I am getting trouble from games like torchlight 2, uneral gold, skyrim, l4d2, etc etc.. all on steam. I even tried to install unreal gold without using steam and the issue was still there.. I've tried reinstalling my drivers and steam but it never worked.. I haven't deleted the registry though as I am not sure how to do so.. but I'll figure it out and give you guys an update (not meaning to highjack thread, but it seems lots of people have this issue and haven't figured out how to fix it, so to me the more help/updates you get from people the better) :D!
