Batman Arkham City WONT SAVE! (Problem SOLVED)

I've been ripping my hair out trying to solve this. I've done everything, this is a brand new computer that I haven't even used for 24 hours and this program just refuses to open. I bought Batman Arkham City during the sale, I've played for 2 hours only to find out that nothing has saved! I've looked all over for solutions but can't find a damn thing. People spoke about Games for Windows Live, yet that wouldn't open at all no matter what I do. I've searched forums and Youtube. I'm thinking of throwing this computer out the window! Is it windows8?

Uninstall GFWL
REBOOT
Download GFWL from microsoft.com
REBOOT

Teh GFWL that comes with most games isn't win8 compliant and does terrible things when you install it. Don't skip the reboots! GFWL is very very fussy and the reboots are required for a clean uninstall/reinstall.

Yes it's Windows 8 and I'll leave that rant for another day. I'm a Windows XP and Windows 7 fan. Windows 8 makes me wanna strangle... eh... I'll try reboots.

Likely your GFWL install is bad because Batman would have insatlled the 'old' client which doesn't work in Win8. Thus you must uninstall/REBOOT/ download from microsoft.com/REBOOT

This is a common issue with games that use GFWL in Win8 and that autoinstall GFWL.

I went to the website and installed and rebooted and all that, I even uninstalled Batman... starting to hope I get a refund...

I have found a solution. I've done everything this link has said and it's worked, I'll explain a few things.

So that is the link I used and now I am able to save the game, not I am still not able to go to Games For Windows Live straight from the desktop I can only access it from opening the game. Also you HAVE to create a Xbox Live account. Kinda stupid how I joined Steam to get away from consoles yet I HAVE to make a Xbox Live account to play a Steam game. So yeah once I made a Xbox Live account I was able to make a profile on Games For Windows and save the game. Remember it can't be accessed by the desktop it will show the same problem I had earlier. I have been having the same problem I have windows 8 (pain in the ass beleive me) but not sure how to reboot can anyone help me?

Reboot means to Restart your computer. Allow it to Shutdown and turn back on. I hope this helps.

Well first I'll assume you know how to use Windows 8 and yes this will work on Windows 8. Well if you to Settings then Power it will say Sleep, Shutdown, Restart. Pressing Restart will make your computer automatically turn off and turn back on. Pressing Shutdown the computer will turn off and you have to turn it back on manually.

It worked on win 8 thankfully I had to reinstall window 8 a few days ago afterwards I couldn't get my batman to bring up the windows live sign in so you can save this did it thanks so much.
