Steam stuck in offline mode

Hi,
I know a lot of people have been complaining about this today, but does anybody know a reason yet as to why steam has kept going into offline mode since the steam update? I've reinstalled a couple of times but it makes no difference. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Click Steam > Settings
At the bottom, tick the "Don't save credentials" box. This will disable offline mode. Restart Steam and see if it works. If it does, try unticking it and see if that has resolved it.

I did that and now my steam wont start at all! .-. "Unable to connect to the Steam Network."Offline mode" is unavailable because there is no Steam login information stored on this computer. You will not be able to use Steam again until you can connect to Steam." D: WIFI = On

im having this problem too when i startup,but i just right click and go online

Time to swallow my pride and ask. How do you get to the screen that allows you to go online?

When i try to login it says i cant because im in offline mode how do i fix this? i cant even get on my profile to play games
