Can I run Max Payne 3?
My specs are:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU@2.40GHz
8gb of ram
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

It is a pre-assembled Asus R500A, if that does anything.

Looks good actually. But the graphics chip really isnt suited for demanding games like Max Payne 3.

Will that do anything bad to the graphics chip, if I play games that demand a lot from it? I know that it's the graphics chip, I was pretty sure everything else would work. Thank you.

It won't do anything bad to it, no. But you might get bad frames per second depending on the games settings.

I can live with that. Thank you for your help.

Actually, your graphics is perfectly fine to run Max Payne 3. That is 3rd generation integrated graphics from Intel released last year. You will not need a graphics upgrade at all. It may not run on ultra settings, but it will will look and play just fine.

NVIDIA® 8600 GT 512MB VRAM – NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 680 2GB VRAM/

Radeon HD 3400 512MB VRAM - Radeon HD 7970 3GB VRAM

If it ran at all on that Intel chip I'd be amazed...

Ya this ^^

I don't know what those other people were talking about, but you won't be playing a game like Max Payne 3 with it. I hope you didn't buy the game because they told you that you can run it :/

Well I bought it about 10 minutes ago after 2 people told it would work, so I guess I'll just have to wait until I get a better computer.

A word of warning: You will not be able to "live" with a low frame-rate in this game. Maybe for the first couple levels but after that, a slideshow is going to be the death of Max.

Ok guess I'll have to live with it sitting there.

It finished downloading and it works just fine on the default settings.

The game auto-detects the settings best for your GPU. I'd be curious what it chose for yours...

My GTX 570 ramped all setting to max...
