Shift + W

so my problem is that i in games can't sprint normally by holding down the W key and then pressing the shift key or control key. the odd thing is i can hold W and D or A. so anythigh that can help me?

Steam has such a wide range of games that the information your asking is very vague. My guess is your referring to a first person shooter. And pressing shift while running would normally allow you to run faster (sprint). My first guess would be to make sure in the keybinds that shift is the default sprint key.

If this doesn't help, or isn't what you where talking about. List the game, or one of the games, you need help in, and describe what you wan't to do. Could even compare it to what you can do in another game.

Should note also that some games may not have a sprint key. Some may require you to double tap the run button (W) or may not have a sprint ability at all.

If, from your profile, you are talking about Skyrim, then here's the deets. Holding shift makes you run if you are walking. Caps lock toggles walk/run. Alt does a sprint that drains stamina. Hope this helps.
