Check if you have a Ralink network card. If so, try downgrading the driver to the previous version.
P.S. Yes I read the thread still not remotely similar.
I apologize for coming to a wrong conclusion while spending my time and energy to try and help you for free.
P.S This is also the 4th time today someone suggested something that i said it wasn't in my original post, so i was getting a little frustrated.
In short, you did say Steam crashed in your original post. Even if you don't think that's what you said.
And yes, I did read your post. And I'm still 90% sure the answer is your network card driver. The reason you're not seeing the issue in the post I linked about Steam updating is that your Steam was probably already updated before the bad driver got installed.
Did you check your network card driver? Humor me.
If my network card is on board does that change anything. I'm not to sure myself.
1. Agree, steam not showing a crash report is interesting and might be true.
2. Agree, My understanding of the definition of crash might be wrong.
3. Disagree, I never said anything crashed ever, i said it didn't on purpose. If you find proof of me calling it a crash please let me know, because i need to know when i make mistakes.
P.S Sometimes people think i'm trying to be rude or sarcastic, but I promise that is not my intention.
