You can if the PC you are using runs windows and...
Because Xbox consoles and accessories are made by the same company as windows computers, the controlers are compatible. If you plug in your Xbox controler you are able to install drivers and use the controller.
It is beyond me (I have never done this) whether you have to manually find the drivers or if it comes up with something like: 'Would you like to install the drivers for this periferal?' or 'Installing device software.'
One final thing, although you computer will be able to use Xbox controlers (if you are running windows), the game itself may not be reay for a controler (it was programmed to understand button presses on a controller). The onyl way to find this out is to look on the page of the game you wish to buy and look for somewhere way it may, or may not, say something along the lines of: 'This game is fit/ready for controllers.'
