No Graphics Device?

whenever i launch any game on steam, i get a "No Graphics Device Found Exiting" i have a graphics card if thats what they mean, i just recently set my computer back to the day we got it if it helps at all

Sounds like you need to install the drivers for your graphics card. Go to the website for your graphics card and download the latest compatible driver.

thats just it, im not exactly sure what im using exaclty as it wont show up

Are you using a laptop or a desktop computer?

do i need to go to the control pannel and do all this crazy stuff?

Go to the site can I run it, and it will tell you if you test a game, or you can go to the device manager by going to start, control panel, click on the part that says Hardware and Sound, the click on Device Manager which will bring up the device driver settings thing for your rig, when that comes up click on the arrom next to "Display Adapters" it normally will be one of the following Intel HD so, you'd go to intel's site for that, if it says "Radeon" go to AMD's site, and if it says, "Nvidia" go to the nvidia site...they should each have some part of their site that says something about downloading device drivers and what not...the model is after the product type's name, for example Radeon's for my laptop is old I know so, it says, "HD 4200 Seris" now, when you go to their site you wanna go for the 4xxx series if that is what you have...you have to install the legacy drivers for Radeon of your series....most of the time these sites will have an auto-detect too.

I'm assuming it is either Nvidia or Radeon...that is the normal case...http://www.geforce.com/drivers for nvidia and for Radeon http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/auto_detect.aspx if that doesn't work then you have to auto-do it by going here http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

In your control panel, open up the Device Manager, please. Under Display Adapters should be your graphics card. What is listed there, please?

i just looked at it and now it says i have a ATI ATOMBIOS for my graphics card

What's saying you have no video ram? Systemrequirements lab? Just ignore that...they just say that as a suggestion...I mean they said my laptop couldn't run Doom 3 BFG with my vid ram...bs...I got that to run lol.
