85% Discount to Cities XL Platinum?!

Does anyone know the answer to this question? Usually the discount has already been added to the total price. But I can't find it anywhere with Cities XL Platinum!

I read the Sale of Cities XL Platinum. If you have Cities XL 2011 or 2012 you get 85% off! Now I have 2011 AND 2012. How do I enter the discount to the total price?

I believe it should get automatically added on checkout.
Add the game to your cart, and start the checkout process. Check if in the checkout window the discount is applied.

Hmm... I tried it. But it still shows the total price.

The discount is applied automatically (on the product page, I see -85% and a price of $4.50). You need to own the games on Steam, though, and I'm not seeing either in your profile.

But if you buy CXL 2011 instead of Platinum and later get 85% off on Platinum and buy that, you get it cheaper than buying Platinum instantly.

Okay, I own XL 2012, but also don't get the discount. Caveat is I have XL 2012 in inventory and not installed - must I install it or can I keep it as a giftable game and still get the upgrade to platinum?

You need to have the game in your library.

You go to the games tab. There you click on "Activate product in steam". Then it will ask for the serial number of the game. Just fill it in and there you go! ;-)

full. They basically added a few new features and considered it a new game instead of a free patch.
