Can i use a Visa Gift card?

I'm trying to add funds to my wallet using a Visa gift card. For some reason it wouldn't accept it. Am i doing something wrong?

Don't think you can add it to your funds. Just use it as a credit card when you buy a game.

You use it like a credit card. Only Steam Wallet cards can add funds to your Steam Wallet.

How do you put it in because it says the giftcard info is wrong

type it in as a credit card.. not a gift card

To be more specific... In the steam app, up in the right hand corner you should see your username and a wallet balance... click the balance, on the next page click add funds to your steam wallet... then you select options $5, $10, $25, etc... Then you just fill in the Visa fields like a credit card.. I just left my automatic name and address information filled in entered the number, exp date, and security code... and it worked perfectly fine...
