How to installl games on a different drive????
Hi,

I have a SSD as my main drive with Windows 7 installed, steam is also installed on this drive C:, some of my steam games give me the option to install on different drive (in this case D:) and it works great. The problem is some games like Saints Row The Third don't gice a option to install on another drive and they try to install on the main drive C: which is too small (256GB). The drive I want to install it on is D: 2TB and it has heaps of free space. Can someone please help?????

Cheers,
Toostylish

You can't. You have to install it to C: and then move the installation folder to the D: drive via a junction or something like that.

If you don't know what a junction is or how to create one see -> http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/hardlinkshellext.html

Some games have not yet been converted over to the new content system. As such those cannot be installed on a different drive

Note that steam and games by and large do not benefit from being on ssd. yoU are far better off installing steam on your larger d: and moving games to the SSD as needed instead. You're just going to run inot other problems with your current setup.
