As for disk space I have more than ten imes the required space. I've had no problems with this set up in the past.
Far Cry wants to add a 'steam games' to the root and then install the game there. I allowe that. But it says 0 disk space. For some reason its reading the disk wrong.
One solution is to copyu the dvd files to your computer and install from there. I don't have the disk. I trusted steam to handle the install. Clearly I need a disk. Steam (so far has not offered a refund, so I can purchase disk.)
Up till now I have had no major problems with steam dowmload games. I think this will be my last.
I can't believe they won't give me my money back. I guess I'll have to go on the blogs and expose this fraud that steam is committing.
You really just need to copy the steamapps directory somewhere, do a fresh install of steam in windows program files and then put steamapps directory you saved in there so you have all your games and don't have to re-download all those. This would be the quickest fix to your problem and any future problems.
I got it loaded afteer reinstalling steam client. But game fails early on. Grant just quits moving. Them mission fails and game crashes. I did all the recommended mods to no avail. I want to know how to get my money back. This game doesn't work as advertised. Far Cry 1 & 2 worked fine.
