Under Mobility Radeon graphics click HD5000 series
go from there
The game runs though.
Zero reason why he can play Skyrim and not Witcher 2. Guess we should wait to hear back on which one he is using but 4850 seems to be the recommend for BOTH games (yes, mobility will be weaker, but just comparing apples or apples)
I updated my video driver, now it says its an ATI mobility Raedon HD 5740.
Still, can you run it keeps saying my video driver is to weak for it, but you only need a ATI Raedon 3xxx for it. Strange...
Well...rather than ask questions about the graphics card, what kind of processor are you running frozo?
Still, 5470 will run the game
Many games run on low spec CPU/GPUs - even on notebooks, as long as you don't try to run a DX10/11-only game on a DX9 chip (mobile or not). HOW good they run, is a different subject.
I still would not turn on Witcher 2's Supersampling feature ... unless you enjoy single digit FPS and a melting laptop lap. Also, running heavy hitting video games on notebooks for endless hours is stressing your hardware - no matter what. Capacitators, CPU, mainboard overheating (without warnings), ... shortens the lifespan of your mobile device.
More recent notebooks and gaming notebooks handle the 100% system usage better, no doubt.
