Half-Life 2 Graphics not working

My games are glitching out like crazy and all of the game models and very glitchy and very disfigured and are REALLY weird colors. There are only a few models that work. I've tried re-installing games, updating my graphics card, and looked at the forums to see if anyone could provide help. I also looked at Steam Support, and I couldn't find the help I was not able to find the help I needed. Please help!

Another question, what other games have you tried?

1: Source engine games, Half-Life 2: Episode 1? Half-Life:Source? Portal 1?

2: Newer Source engine titles? Half-Life 2:Episode 2? Left 4 Dead 2? Team Fortress 2?

3: Non-Source engine titles? Oblivion? Battlefield? Far Cry?

I've only tried Team Fortress 2 and Gmod; they have the same graphical glitches and they also both use the Source engine.

I have the same issue, Portal 1 works perfectly, half life 2 just goes insane

I have a solution. We fixed this a while back. Lower your DirectX in the options. That should fix it.
