Windows Live/Hotmail/Wtfever

I just want to play Batman: Arkham Asylum, but Microsoft doesn't want to make that a simple process.

I don't even know if this is the proper section for something like this, but you know what? I'm pretty irritated and I don't care.

I spent 70 minutes sitting at the main menu trying to get the game to start. I go to sign in with my Hotmail email that I use for Xbox, but it wouldn't work, it kept saying that the account doesn't exist or that the password is incorrect. So, I keep trying, maybe I entered the password incorrectly, or the email is case sensitive...nothing worked.

So, I go back and click to Create a new account, it opens a browser and makes me put in an email. I put in my Hotmail/Xbox Live email and it signs me right into my Xbox account. Still doesn't work, can't play. I go back again and click New Account and it instantly signs me into my Xbox account again. Still can't play.

I change my password and then it says that my account isn't available for live. The account is blocked because I don't use it every freakin' hour, (Steam does the same damn thing) because hotmail sucks and I only use it for my xbox account. So, I waited for a text to give me a code to unblock it...still can't play.

I ended up having to make an Offline Account to play.

Why? Why does this happen and what do I do?

Download the latest GFWL client from MS directly. Also note you MUST reboot after each install/update or it goes into some weird loop.
