Prepaid Credit Cards and Steam

Will they work the same way as a normal credit card purchase would? I've got a friend asking me and I want to be able to give him a sure answer. I am assuming they will, but better safe than sorry.

As long as the card has all the information they need to fill out during checkout it will work.

some of those prepaids though u have to register first with a address, american express gift cards u call the number on back, its just a automated balance check but keep spaming # and 0 and u will eventually get transferd to a live operator, tell him u wanna register ur card for online, mastercard same thing, visa gift cards actually have a website u can use to register it. i used to do these for all my online purchases, but its less of a head ache with paypal, u can get greendot cards then no more registering :P also with paypal u can input multiple gift cards then charge combind cents across all the cards to make use of short change..
