Black Ops 2 graphics settings crash
The other day my friend wanted to play Black Ops 2. As he was playing, he changed all the graphics settings to the highest possible option. Now, when i go to start the game, it Immediately crashes. is there any way to change graphics settings before i launch the game, or erase my current config file or something? I just dont want to have to download the game again. Any ideas will help, Thanks.

Change it in the ingame settings? if it crashes then i have no idea what system you running or specs. You'll need to fill out info so we can know what is the culprit. To me sounds like your PC cannot run it or maybe you have a bad install or driver. Verify file cache and try again

SPECS:(i know they aren't good but I have been able to play every game I've purchased.)

System: ASUS X44H-BD2GS Laptop
Processor: Intel 2330M Core i3 sandy bridge
Graphics: Intel HD 3000 graphics
RAM: 4GB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
HD: 500GB hard drive

With all drivers up-to-date.

What I'm saying is that I've had the game since it came out last month, and it works fine with normal settings on my PC. The problem is; my friend turned the graphics settings all the way up, the game crashed, and wont start anymore. I need a way to reset the graphics settings from outside the game.

Anything?

Intel HD graphics driers are unsupported thus the fact that it doesn't work isn't surprising

However other have gotten it to work by updating to the latest Intel video drivers.

Realize however that you are running on an UNSUPPORTED video card as per the minimum requirements. Please be more careful in the future as while BO2 'kinda' works with an HD3000 other games may refuse to run no matter what you try to do.

Yes I have been informed that they are "unsupported" although as i said above, it does work quite well on my laptop sans loading times. but I just need to know if there is a way to reset the graphics settings before launching the game, or a way to start the game in a "safe mode" or something. because after he set the graphics all the way up I cant get to the menu to turn them down again.

Unless the updated video drivers fix it, you're probably stuck with the long load times.

Just updated the drivers, and delted my BO2 config files, validated the install, and had steam download new ones. And now I can launch the game.
