Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Duplicate CD Key
I recently bought a sealed copy of Skyrim from Gamestation in the UK. It was factory sealed up sold to me brand new. I insert the disk into my pc and try to install it. It asks for the CD key but it says its a duplicate cd key and to try recover the account with the key on. Problem is i don't have any other steam accounts, i think my key has been stolen somehow, i am not sure how but i have submitted a support ticket to valve since i had to redeem a steam key to install the game. I have provided pictures of the game case, CD key on the game and also a copy of my receipt. I am still waiting on a reply but is there anything else i can do? I love skyrim as i have it for xbox 360 but i want to play it on pc for a better experience.

Cheers in advance.

Steam can't do anything about this, you'll have to tell the people Gamestation about this and try to get a refund/exchange.

You can try Steam's CD Key Reset Process (Check you have all the proper info added to your ticket)
Although considering Support response times, you may have better chance by getting the game changed by the retailer if you can.

I'm just so ticked off that i spend money for something brand new to then find out its either been used or someone stole the key for it.

thanks for your reply tito, one thing i noticed i see loads of people on amazon purchasing the game and getting a new exchange, problem is they had the same problem with the exchanged version of it :/

It sucks when one finds himself on the wrong end of the stick. Amazon is usually fast with exchanges, but as you sadi, you may find yourself with a different non-working key.
If you provided the requested info, there should be no problem getting the key to work (Despite the slow crawl of waiting for a response)
