[SOLVED]HELP Steam cant find bin\sdl.dll

After the big picture update i started steam and When i got to 99% updated it said:
Steam can't find bin\sdl.dll.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling steam.
I deleted the registry values but that didn't work.
Can anyone help?

I fixed the problem by uninstalling avast.

I'm having the same problem. avast! keeps telling me sdl.dll is/contains a virus and adds it to virus quarantine list. I've tried to restore it but when I try to open Steam it starts to update the platform and sdl.dll file disappears from Steam files at 99% and the error pops up again. Reinstalling Steam didn't help either.

Tienen que agregar Procesos de confianza en Avast!

Avast > Escudos en tiempo real > Escudo de Comportamiento > Opciones avanzadas > Procesos de confianza

Agregan:
-"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe"
-"C:\Program Files\Steam\sdl.dll"
-"C:\Program Files\Steam\bin\sdl.dll"
-"C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamUI.dll"

Tambien tienen que mantener actualizado el motor del antivirus

Um... actually you have to deactivate avast shield or something
