Sonic Generations boss controller issues

I'm using a GameStop XBox360 USB controller, and something that quite frankly has been absolutely infuriating me is that on Egg Dragoon, I have very little freedom to move left and right. I'll have the control stick all the way to one side, but Sonic only looks in that direction while continuing to run straight. This doesn't happen on the PS3 or 360, and when Eggman shoots those rockets that make flame towers, I can barely avoid them maybe 5% of the time. I've validated the files multiple times, and it has downloaded the fix multiple times, but there's no success whatsoever.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is it just the controller? Is it a corrupt game file? What's the deal? ><

Try recalibrating your controller in windows. And goto microsoft's website and grab the controllers drivers might help alot. Even tho its not made by microsoft the drivers will still work for it.

I'll definitely try that. But shortly after I posted this topic, I played with my keyboard. The issue still existed. I succeeded, but it was still infuriating me that Sonic could barely move left and right.

I´d recommend the game´s game hub for questions^^
I remember on some bosses I needed to use the shoulderbuttons for movement instead of the arcarde stick, otherwise Sonic was not moving left or right properly, but I don´t remember which boss it was..

My goodness, I haven't thought to do that at all! I've barely even used that function in the game! I'm going to go test it now. I really hope that's the key to playing that boss. ^^;

...well my first thought was always that the thumb stick directs the character on where to go. >.> Even in SA2, I used the thumb stick when running alongside Shadow; I didn't use the triggers to move left and right. ^^; But apparently that's how the Egg Dragoon is to be played. Thanks for the clue. ^^:
