Difference between standard and foil cards?

Foil cards are a rare version of normal cards, they have silver background and they are hard to get. Only users with Steam level 10 or more have a small chance to find them. When you get a full set of foil cards you can craft a foil badge, which doesnt grant anything than its rarity.

After you craft the foil cards, do you still own them? (because you (a user) paid a lot of money on them). Or you get only a (foil) game badge?

Also: after you reach level 5 at a game badge, can you still have / buy the cards?

No when you craft them they disappear like normal cards, I think you get a foil badge of the game the cards were

When you reach badge lv 5 you can still have and buy cards, but cant craft it again

No when you craft them they disappear like normal cards, I think you get a foil badge of the game the cards were

When you reach badge lv 5 you can still have and buy cards, but cant craft it again

The level restriction may have altered in the meantime.
I'm level 3 and still received a foil card from Tropico 4.
