You may need to prove ownership or at least get support to check your account for the reason why it was removed.
Are you 100% sure you logged into the account that owned the game? Have you ever made another account before?
I would contact steam support again with this info or ask them what else you can do and just a heads up, making more tickets to complain will slow down the process, now they will have to deal with that as a separate ticket and spend less time helping you with the actual issue.
It was actually my mum who bought it, and I'm pretty sure she would have paid cash but I'll check with her. Thanks for the suggestion.
Seems like your issue it not related, and you got a reply.

to the machine. Turn it on and play.
Im very sorry for you as you young and maybe mum cant afford a lot,
and when get you something you wanted it turns up like this..that hurts.
I can understand Steam and the probly millions uneccesary/plain stupid
things they see from people try to be smart or whatever make them hedgehogs
a bit spikey to get to.
And theres so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ using fakecopys of both games and accounts
we actually in "my " game have had contact with steam,,the latest are skidrow..
some crack make you steal the game and use fake steams etc..
I also bought my "main"game and some addons in shop as i odnt have a card
but the latest add-ons is only onlinebuy (stuuupid) but makes them cheaper to buy.
So i got some friends ingame bought them online for me with their cards then send to me on steam as "gifts"!
- Thats one solution if the game aint so expensive.
I promise if i could at his moment, i would have bought and sent it to you!
Im with you that who the heck saves a rceipt, and even though you know it,
it easy to ignore the code too, if not on cover its on the manual wich often end up
im places very chaos and when not needed more oyu forget it and maybe its thrown
away by accident or "what the heck, cover is gone so i throw this too"..... then
it happens!
I dont know if you really dont have cheated or some "cool" (moron) guy impressed on you by
modifie or helped you fake anything. But i think you sound very honest and try contact them
again ask>>
1. What was it not being correct registered!?
2. How come its been ok but suddenly susprnded???
3. And if you give them the code only they should be able to see
that its been used by you recently.
4. Maybe your account have been used by a lil roach made it a red alert, but they dont
want, can tell you.
5. or them selves or the gamecompany have messed up their/got thier pc's hacked,
or just noobed out alone and now "blame" it on consumers and hope they get away
not have to admit they lost codes/accounts.
Damn..but good luck
/A
I would imagine that sending a photo of just the box and CD Key would be fine, check this page where it shows you what you need to do:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2268-EAFZ-9762
Be sure to stress the fact that you cannot provide a receipt due to the method of the purchase and the amount of time that has passed.
Also, stupid question, but have you tried activating the CD Key again?
The first Support guy I was speaking to was just totally useless, I tried explaining everything to him but when I said I don't have the receipt all he kept saying was "We can't help you with this issue". So I submitted a complaint about his lack of proper customer service. He then passed along my complaint to someone else, and this guy straight away tells me to take a picture of the Support Ticket Number written on the CD key and attach it. So I did and he added my game back to my library within a day.
Just goes to show that complaining gets you everywhere. xD
It's a bit backwards and the info is not really presented upfront to you. Keep in mind what support accepts as a valid Proof of Purchase for future reference (Hope you never need to use that again)
Glad to hear you got things sorted out ;)
To be fair though it WAS the Steam support guy who kept insisting on seeing the receipt.
Yes, it was. I asked the first guy if I could just submit a picture of the CD key but he said no, it wasn't acceptable without the receipt too. He was very misleading.
