HELP FILES LOST
So yesterday when i loaded steam, all my games were gone. But since dead pixels was already downloading i right clicked and went to the directory. It was in a temp file. But not paying attention i moved all my games there so my games would work. Later i restarted my computer and the download folder was switched back to the original! I can not find the temp file where they were located now! It did not delete the games because i still only have 80 gigs left, like before. I just need to know where the temp folder is. Please help?

When a game is downloading it is downloaded to a temp folder. After it is finished downloadign the game installs and the temp directory is deleted. Why you would move all your games into a temp folder is very starnage. If you are unsure what you are doing you should ask someone. It soundes like you will need to download your games again.

If you know how to search it should be pretty easy to search for a few of the games by name. Do you know how to do a file search on your own computer? MAke sure it is set to search hidden and system folders also.

You said you moved them ... into a temp directory. That directory deletes itself after the game is installed. Understand?

Your explanation is very convoluted. Sorry if I misunderstood you.

it wont work because the games are not in steam so when i click uninstall it is uninstalling nothing, i wont be able to get all of them back with only 80 gigabytes left

Maybe the files are in your garbage? Files in the garbage still consume room until you empty the trash. If the files are on your PC then you should be able to easly find them as long as you know how to search for hidden files and folders and sysytem files and folders also because you might have moved them into a hidden folder or system folder.

Download and install treesize. It will sort files or folders by the amount of space they take up and it might help you find them. http://www.jam-software.com/freeware/

Try this then to sort them out by size.
