Help with a mod

Okay so apparently I want to download a mod for Saints Row: The Third which puts replaying missions in the game
only problem is, i have no clue how to even install it, it's just so confusing

"There are now 2 flavors of the mod included in two separate folders and you'll need to pick one of them to use:
MISSION_REPLAY is the standard set of files
OR
MISSION_REPLAY_NO_OUTFIT_CHANGES includes everything in the normal version, plus it removes all forced wardrobe changes on replay so you can play missions in whatever outfits you want.

First select one of the two folders, and then copy all the loose files from that version to your SR3 install folder:
..\steam\steamapps\common\saints row the third\"

i know i'm already gonna download the no outfit changes one, but other than that can someone show me how to exactly download this mod if they're experienced at downloading mods for games, specifically steam games

No help abailable where you get your MOD?
2 possible options for MODS here:

a) the MOD replaces a file in
...Steam\SteamApps\common\saints row the third\packfiles\pc\cache

b) it goes straight to the SR3 main drectory
...Steam\SteamApps\common\saints row the third

Example:
*.asm_pc
*.str2_pc
*.xtbl

If your MOD is from idolninja you should find help there

yeah it's from IdolNinja, but i couldn't find any threads any other threads involving his mod

Luckily I was browsing the forum and saw this. I would think that the instructions are pretty self-explanatory. Since you want the version with no outfit changes then you browse to that folder in the archive and copy all the files in it to your SRTT install folder where the game exe is. That's it. Nothing tricky at all. It's just that simple.

In the future, I would advise you to post questions in the release thread itself over on our forum and you'll be guaranteed that either myself or one of the modders will give you a hand:

the thing that confuses me is that it says "two seperate folders" yet there's just one

oooh i see now, you were just using WinRar which made the download easier for you
well i just installed it right now, but when you see this, how do i access "..\steam\steamapps\common\saints row the third\" as i can't seem to find my SR3 installation folder

It's wherever you installed the Steam client itself. Check the properties of your Steam shortcut to see the path.
