Bioshock infinite 14 gb of updates

THIS IS RIDICULOUS, I PURCHASED THE DVD VERSION OF THE GAME, TRIED INSTALLING THIS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME FOR NEARLY 6 HOURS NOW, 1. I HAVE TO INSTALL IT THROUGH STEAM, WHICH IS THE WORST ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SOFTWARE KNOWN TO MANKIND, AND 2. IVE UNINSTALLED, REINSTALLED OVER 3 TIMES NOW, THERE IS NO WAY TO GET PAST THE 14GIGS OF WORTHLESS DOWNLOADS, THESE SHOULD BE IN THE 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DISCS I PAID FOR, NOW I OFFICIALLY RENDER THIS GAME AS WASTE OF MONEY/ UNPLAYABLE, I LIVE IN A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY, SO YOUR LOWEST INTERNET SPEED WOULD BE MY HIGHEST, 14GB IS NOT AN UPDATE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, IT'S A WHOLE ENTIRE GAME. 1GB OR ANYTHING LESSER THAN THAT WOULD BE AN UPDATE I DONT MIND WATING FOR. ♥♥♥♥ STEAM! ♥♥♥♥ BIOSHOCK, ♥♥♥♥ STEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HATE IT STEAM SO MUCH RIGHT NOW.

PATHETIC IS NOT THE WORD, ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC, MY DOWNLOAD SPEED AT ITS HIGHEST IS 60KBPS, THIS IS TRULY PATHETIC, IF A COMPANY FORCES YOU TO DOWNLOAD 14GB OF UPDATES AGAINGST YOUR WILL DESPITE THE TREMENDOUS BANDWIDTH IT EATS UP, I PAY FOR A 15GB BANDWIDTH CONNECTION PER MONTH, THIS ITSELF IS 14GB, IM SORRY BUT THERE IS SIMPLY NO WAY THAT I GOING TO DOWNLOAD 14GB OF UPDATES, I SHOULD GET A REFUND FOR THE GAME AS IT IS COMPLETELY UNUSEABLE NOW.

14GB of updates? The game in total including base files is 14.9GB big, you know.

Saying it's 14GB of updates, is like saying the base game is 900 megabytes.
I hope you know how ridiculous that sounds.

Read the system requirements, and you see minimum is about 20GB.

teutip, but thats what it says, as soon i finish installing the game from the discs, it says theres 14gb of updates left ,99% done, 6 weeks remaining. there is no way of starting the game without downloading the ''essential updates''

It shows the TOTAL of the game, NOT the updatesize.

How about going in the game's disc manually and opening that installer from there. You'll have to update, but it's not nearly that much you're making it out to be.

20 gigs is game, i have already spent 30 mintues installing the game disc by disc, then after it finishes it wont start without installing addiotiall 14 gigs, so in total 17.5 for the game plus 14 for the updates, i dont think thats 20 gigs my friend.

14.9GB is the data compressed (for downloading), 17.43GB is total (on disk), so yes.
^ Thus 20GB minimum without DLC as a requirement on the game case's back.

But once again, it's not an update's size. The whole game (including updates) is 17.43GB on disk.

What I would do is,

• Delete local content of the game on the Steam client.
  
• Keep Steam on,
  
• Insert disc.
  
• Find the manual installer inside the disc.
  
• Install it.
  
• It should update through Steam, let it update.
