Steam crashes and then crashes my laptop

Hi there!

The problem with my Steam is that I when I try to log in, it says "connecting to steam account:eliteeman" and then after a few seconds, it show the Windows 7 loading symbol and then when I try to refresh the desktop (right click), the options do not show up. Then when I hover over my taskbar, my consor freezes. I have no option, but to force switch off my laptop :( I then Google it and the most helpful information I got was to rename "ClientRegistry.blob" as "ClientRegistryOld.blob". I then try to connect again, but my laptop crashes and I am forced again to force switch off my laptop. I was told to make sure that my Java and Adobe Flash PLayers were up to date ,which they were, but still my laptop crashes.
(P.S I have had to force switch off my laptop many times D':

It doesnt crash my computer, but lets just say that last few days, every 5th game of COD is terminated because of the server crash.

You should try contacting Steam support. I used to have a similar problem and the support team gave me instructions on how to fix it. I hope that your problem will be fixed.
