Steam Inventory missing
First off, I already have a custom URL and have even changed it but it hasn't worked.

So my Steam Gift inventory is missing. I'm not getting an error saying it's unavailable, it's simply not there and I had a bunch of games in there. The histories don't show any movement so it's unlikely I've been hacked. All I can see is my TF2/Portal/Spiral Knights inventories. No matter what machine I use, no matter what location I'm in, I simply cannot see my gift inventory.

Can any of you see it? I've submitted a ticket last week but I got a copy and paste from the troubleshooting (delete everything in the Steam folder except a few things). Since then, it seems like they're ignoring me while I sit here unable to redeem the games I've paid for.

I even bought Max Payne 3 in the weekend sale and chose gift to see if my inventory would 'wake up' so to speak. No luck, so I've lost access to that game too.

I've done everything I can find on Google. Change custom url, delete stuff from my installation folder, reboot my router, switch between Beta and normal. Probably other stuff that I can't think of right now.

It's clear that it's not a problem with my machine since I can't access my inventory at other houses, work etc.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I might even gift a game if it can be fixed before Steam decide to respond!

I'd really appreciate anyone's input, especially if you've been in the same situation and how you remedied it. As expected, Steam still haven't got back to me ಠ_ಠ

Did you ever figure this out? I put a trading card for sell from my inventory--it said there was an error and I should refresh the page. When I did my entire steam game inventory was missing! No trading cards either. I went to the market to see if it shows the one card there and the market has no items.
I think it fixed itself on the next update. Seems like it was caused during one update then fixed on another. Nothing I did sorted it out and Steam Support continued to ignore me.I just logged on one day to find that everything was back. Sorry that isn't very helpful in getting your inventory back, hopefully it gets fixed quicker for you .

Dont expect help from Steam there just there to get your money.

maybe the gift was purchased with a illegal card?

It was actually about two years worth of steam inventory stored as gifts, all purchased with a legal card of course. After a few days I now have the "Steam" tab again and it has all my inventory and cards back. For any others that read this--just hang in there.

Same thing happened to me, guess I'll have to wait and if that doesn't work I will just send in a ticket.
I have the very same problem with you my bioshock: infinite gift is missing and it costs 60$...

It will come back, just give it a week or so. That is the trend from the above messages. If it doesn't come back use steam support and they will help you restore it and figure out if their were any credit card problems or something else involved.

I had just visited my inventory and a majority of my trading cards had dissappeared. Glad to hear it'll all come back after a bit.
I'm guessing it's just Steam trying to allocate more online storage for our inventories? Some sort of error involving the amount of space we use up with our inventories?

It seems to happen whenever there is a sale, I think different Steam servers hold different inventories and if the server for your inventory happens to be too busy then it won't load your stuff at the moment.

One other thing to check for is there are several different types of inventories. Make sure "Steam" is selected and not something like Team Fortress 2 and then also make sure "All" items are showing as apposed to just "Gifts" or something like that.

I checked in "Steam Inventory" and made sure I was looking at all my items. Not the items from games like Team Fortress 2, but just items like trading cards, coupons, and gifts. Only a few items were there, a coupon and a few trading cards, though I surely had other trading cards before.
