good rpg games for beginners

hello
i want to get into the rpg genre. however there are alot of rpgs that i am not good at and arent the best for beginners such as dragon age origins which feels to strategy based. i cant play morrowind becuase i suck at it. ive already played mass effect 3, oblivion, and skyrim but those games arent Really rpgs. i want a rpg for pc. PLEASE HELP

Hmm Fallout 3 or New vegas would be really good its part shooter part RPG.

Torchlight 2 is a really good action RPG.

Reccetear an item shops tale is a intresting Action RPG/shop sim its more shop sim then RPG but still really intresting.

Fable the lost chapters. is good as well

first of all i have already played fallout new vegas and as for faple the lost chapters im pretty picky when it comes to rpgs.is fable really as good as people say?also i would say that im not looking for a dungeon crawler

so the only one i would look at is fable?how good is it really. also does it become harder as you progress. i dont want a game thats so easy that when i leave the game im still a NOOBIE to RPGS

no they arent there WAY to easy and dont really require you to level up. the only one i would call a rpg at the most is mass effect 3

Those games are all RPGs.

Go back and play Neverwinter Nights 1& 2. Maybe not the older Infinity Engine stuff if you're a "beginner", but I guess lots of people got their start there, so it's a possibility. Fallout 2. Maybe KOTOR 1&2, Jade Empire.

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines is a favourite of mine (get the unofficial patch). I didn't like The Witcher, but I've yet to play the second one which got a lot of praise. Alpha Protocol does well. Deus Ex and System Shock 2 might be stretching your definition?

Or you can go more action-y with Diablo, Bastion, Torchlight, Titan Quest, Path of Exile etc. Perhaps this is what you're calling a "dungeon crawler" though (surely you crawled dungeons in Skyrim too?).

Fable the lost chapters is good. It's the best of the 3 fables but it's only single player. Pretty much they all are single player anyway. YES it gets harder. Viking the battle for asgard was pretty good. Oh and if you never played any good ones. Go play final fantasy 7, 8, 9 and 10. First play throughs they won't be easy..

And oblivion is hard if you raise the difficutly bar up and you DO level up on that game and need to level up if you're going to win on harder difficulties... Not sure of many rpg's on steam though, maybe Bastion? Ragnarok online 2 is coming out soon, free to play.. Might be a crappy mmo though. Ragnarok online 1 was boss.

Try maybe rpg maker and make your own rpg.

Oh and get the witcher 2 because it's awesome/hard. Once your done with that, get dark souls because it's really hard.

Buy a PS3 or Xbox And start playing some Japanese RPG games. Now then you master those you can master any RPG games (Except fallout) xD

if you dont like oblivion or skyrim then youll hate fable because the whole series is a fraction of a single elderscrolls game .

the lost chapters is just fable 1 with a few extra quest and a new place basically its like this . fable 1 can be beat in about 5 - 6 hours . thats pathetic . lost chapters adds about 1 hour of gameplay about . 6 - 7 hours for a rpg ? fable is a action game that likes to think it was a rpg . i guess the role playing aspect is pretending fable is a good game or lionhead pretending to believe its hype for each installment of that abomination that is fable
