Poker Night 2 Not Working
Poker Night 2 will not launch, it doesn't even come up with preparing to launch. My profile goes green for about 6 seconds then goes back to blue. I would really like some help on fixing this as i want to get the items for TF2

I have already re-downloaded Poker Night 2, Restarted steam and verified the integrity.

EDIT:

SOLVED

I just had to remove/unplug the xBox controller and it worked fine. Hope this helps anyone.

I have done the same There was a thread about making the game run in windowed mode to resolve it, But that did not work for me. Also try redownloading directX people say that will help, Again didn't for me. Anyway hope either of those works for you, That's all i know i hope someone finds a fix for this.
I had the same problem, so far i have gotten the game to work by having the First Poker Night At The Inventory downloaded and ready to play, after that 2 worked just fine, hope this method work for you guys.

If it doesn't work, I did actually play the first one for a few minutes before i tried to reopen 2, wouldn't hurt to try.

i went into the installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Poker Night at the Inventory), then went to both the "DirectX" & the "_CommonRedist\DirectX" directories and ran "DXSETUP.exe". first for regular "DirectX", then for "_CommonRedist\DirectX". that solved the problem for me, and i run Windows 8 64-bit fyi. hope this helps

Thanks, that worked for me! Kind of disappointed, given that it is listed as full controller support.
Bad

For me, the game kept crashing whenever there was an XBOX 360 controller connected. The solution for this is identical to the solution for the 'The Walking Dead' controller issue. The game will work with controller compatibility when you put the 'dinput8.dll' file in the game folder:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Poker Night 2\

Here is the download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qt4rwafmbhgn5c7/dinput8.dll
If this worked for you: you are welcome!
