I'm having this issue on CSS too. It's happening whenever I download creative multigames. Also on Mac.

You guys need to read up on Steam pipe but I suspect those errors are from broken mods and maps in the wrong directory. After the conversion the directory structure is changed which breaks a lot of mods. They need updated.

As the error message says, you have run out of space, or it is not able to write to that location, when you join a server that tries to download a custom map.

It might be better to ask about this here:
Steam for Mac
We know that's the problem, it tells us right in front of our face. We want to know why we have apparently run out of space and we want to know how to fix it.

Okay guys I think I may have possibly found a fix for this. I'm sure I tried it the other day and it didn't work but it seemed to have worked for two maps tonight.
Basically when you download maps off of servers the map file downloads to CSS > cstrike > download > maps
Copy the map file in that folder and paste it into cstrike > maps
That should do it.

Thanks Dobbo, that works only for a few maps, but not for all :(

it works for most custom maps, only a couple will not work even though you move it.
steam really messed my games up.
everytime I try to download a custom map, I have to watch it crash, go to my files and move the map over and restart the game just to play the new map.
I hope this update comes out within the next couple of days

Too bad it doesn't seem to work for tf2. The right folders are there, but the map I'm trying to download isn't in the maps folder yet.

I had this with startup of portal 2, cs:go.
Try deleting then installing the game on a different volume.
Worked for me.
Good luck.
