Not getting stereo audio with MSI afterburner
Using Afterburner 2.3.1 - when I record video in Battelefield Bad Company 2, I only get mono audio when in-game. The audio records as stereo when recording the main screen but once I go in game I only get mono audio recorded, though the audio coming through the speakers is stereo.

Sound card is an Audigy Platinum EX, running XP Sp3.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

maybe try the updated build of EVGA Precision X v4.10 with rivatuner (Afterburner is basically GUI on top of rivatuner) and see if the latest update helps, seemed more stable than afterburners gui for mine. That said i prefer FRAPS for recording after I had issues recording with afterburner losing audio etc.

I don't see any record option with Precision.

It looks mostly the same otherwise.

I've tried re-enabling the Realtek onboard audio to see if that makes a difference but so far don't get *any* audio recorded that way.

Okay, finally got it to work with Realtek. Had to check "Enable Multi-streaming" in the Realtek mixer and use "Realtek Primary Input". Now it's recording stereo audio. Had to crank the gain level way down.

Follow up:

It might have nothing to do with the Multi-streaming option. I find that if I don't start recording while in in the main screen, I still get mono audio. Going back to the Audigy, it too records stereo if I start recording while still in the main screen.
